Using Xilinx Chipscope with XSV 800 through an Xchecker cable

Q:

I am using the parallel port for my data communication between the PC and the XSV board. Hence, this approach will prohibit using the Parallel III cable emulator. Is it not possible to use the XChecker port on the XESS board for connection with the PIII cable to the PC? It appears that the necessary ports required by the PIII cable is available on the XChecker port.

A:

Yes, you should be able to attach a P3 cable to the Xchecker interface of the XSV Board. Here are the design files and documentation for the CPLD circuit that enables the Xchecker interface.
