Common questions to answer when your XS Board won't pass GXSTEST
Q:
My new XS board will not pass XS test. I have verified all the correct connections. However, I don't know if my parallel port is configured correctly for SPP mode.

In the meantime, look at the README.TXT file that should be in your XSTOOLS folder. Also, check the following:
- Are you using a power supply with a center-positive plug? (It's a good sign if the LED segments glow dimmly.)
- Have you configured your parallel port for SPP in the BIOS?
- Have you tried LPT1, LPT2, and LPT3?
- Do you see any activity on the LED segments during the test procedure?
- If you have a logic probe or scope, can you see any activity on pin 14 and 17 of the parallel port during the testing procedure?
