What Virtex configuration modes are supported by the XSV Board?

Q:

The Xilinx Virtex FPGA supports four configuration modes: slave-serial, master-serial, SelectMAP, and boundary-scan. Does the XSV Board support all of these four modes?

A:

Slave-serial: This mode is used in early versions of GXSLOAD and XSLOAD to download to the Virtex from the PC.

SelectMAP: This mode is used to load the Virtex from the on-board Flash. Newer versions of GXSLOAD and XSLOAD also use this mode to configure the FPGA through the parallel port in a manner similar to the XSA Board.

Boundary-scan: You can use this mode if you interface to the XSV Board through the Xchecker port. You have to reprogram the CPLD to do this.

Master-serial: You could probably use this mode if you reprogrammed the CPLD on the XSV Board to make the Flash look like a serial PROM to the Virtex.
