My XS Board works on one PC but not another. What to do?
Q:
I've got an XS board and I can get it to work on one computer but not on another. Both have the same OS. Both have the parallel port set up at 378-37F with IRQ7 and SPP mode. The parallel port works with my printer and I can get values to the XS board with XSPORT. What else can I check? Could it be my driver?
A:
The best advice given what you've said would be to get a cheap parallel port card and install it on the PC. That would indicate whether it was a physical drive problem or not. (Assuming the only thing you've attached to the parallel port is the XS Board.)
