Is there two-way communication between the XS Board and the PC?
Q:
Could you please tell me if the parallel port interface of the XS Boards is also usable for generic communication with the FPGA after configuration, or for configuration only. Also, it is possible to communicate with the PC via the parallel port, and is this interface well documented (e.g. schematics)?
A:
Yes, the parallel port is used for two-way communication between the XS40 or XS95 Board and the PC after configuration of the device. The schematics show the connections between the parallel port and the XS Board through connector J1.
